COURTHOUSE INFORMATION
The Perth Courthouse is located at 43 Drummond Street East. As is sometimes the case with courthouses in jurisdictions with smaller populations, all of the court services (excluding provincial offences court) are combined into one historic building. Lanark County’s Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Court of Justice both operate out of this location. In Perth, provincial offences are handled out of a separate office, located at 80 Gore Street East
The Courthouse is open between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm on weekdays. There is no security screening in the building. Parking at the building is very limited, but there are multiple municipal lots located on the other side of Drummond Street, across from the Courthouse. For more detailed information about parking near the Courthouse, consult the resources available on the Town of Perth’s website.
If you would like more information about the courthouse, including the requirements to request interpreter services, courtroom layouts, and guides on how to prepare for court appearances, please consult the Justice Ontario website. If you have to appear in either the Ontario Court of Justice, or the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ministry of the Attorney General publishes daily court lists at 4:30 pm for the proceedings that will occur the following day. These lists are sometimes unreliable, as matters often get moved to other courtrooms on the day of the appearance. If you are required to appear at the courthouse, DUVADIE Law will ensure that you are informed of exactly where you need to be and at what time you need to be there (as soon as this information becomes available).
